As a reminder,the persistent trend of loose monetary policy throughout the globe has been the result of stagnant demand, which has been the main driving force behind weak commodities pricing.
While most advanced economies have benefited from low commodities pricing, resource-exporting nations (Australia, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa) have been severely impacted.
